Outdoor Competitions
The road leads to Skegness…
From May to July, our members compete to reach the National Finals at Skegness, Lincolnshire. There are a number of competitions including several mixed events to enter.
Rinks
Teams of 3 compete in a variety of formats including 2 bowl and 3 bowl rinks and mixed rinks.
Under 25
Younger players compete in a number of different competitions including singles and pairs
Pairs
Teams of 2 play across a number of different formats including the mixed and Over/Under 25 format
Singles
There are a number of different competitions in singles including 4 bowl Champion, Under 25s and Senior members
Indoor Competitions
Lincoln here we come…
Played from December to April, members compete indoors for a chance to represent the county at the National Indoor finals. Until recently these finals has been held every April at Newark but have changed location in 2023 to be held at Lincoln.
Rinks
Teams of 3 compete over 21 ends with 2 bowls per player
Singles
Players try to be the first to reach 21 shots. 4 bowls per player.
Pairs
Teams of 2 compete over 21 ends with 2 bowls per player
Senior Singles
Players must be over 65 to enter and play to 21 shots with 4 bowls per player

As a county we support and encourage all our members and we are delighted to have achieved multiple national titles both individually and in team games

About us
Affiliated to the English Bowling Federation, we are the home for Federation bowls in Northumberland.
We offer opportunities for affiliated clubs and their members to take part in competitions and leagues under English Bowling Federation rules throughout the outdoor and indoor season
